Hi. My name is Madoka Aoyama.
I’m an exchange student in Thompson Rivers University. I’m studying abroad in Kamloops now.
Why am I studying abroad here? I have two reasons. First, I want to know about different cultures (lifestyle, history, religion, etc). It is interesting for me to understand other cultures by experiencing it myself. Learning other cultures is stimulating and enriches my way of thinking .
Second, I want to improve my English skills through studying abroad. I want to use English in my job in the future. So, I try to speak to many foreign people in English during this program. Especially, I will do my best to listen and understand what people are saying. It is hard for me to understand, but I won’t give up from now on.
